The Cynthia Heights Media Center is a welcoming room with wall to wall shelves filled with a great selection of children's literature, both fact and fiction.
Computers are available for accessing a special book and for taking Accelerated Reader quizzes. A current copy of the Evansville Courier and Press is always available.
Located within the Media Center is the Reading Center, a cozy and unique elevated area used for reading stories to classes and for individual silent reading.
Every student, first through fifth grades, visits the Media Center with there homeroom once a week to select new books. Students may visit, with permission, during unscheduled times to check out books for special
assignments.
A group of fifth graders serve as Media Center Helpers, whose duties include re-shelving books, tiding up, and helping at Book Fair time.
